“Romantic, Baroque, Ornate, Enchanting, Victorian-esque”….Fall decor vibes or words that describe today’s shoot? How about both 😉 The cooler weather has us making major dents in our wallet stocking up on ALL the fall things and trying to wait as long as possible to order our first PSL. When today’s shoot came our way, it was perfect timing for the season change. “When planning this editorial, I wanted to create a romantic Victorian elopement styled session to match the stunning English Tudor-inspired grounds and Old World feel” said Wolfcrest Photography. “By tying in subtle gothic inspiration and elegant styling, my design goal was to create something that was intimate because I think that the time period that the style of the venue portrays is incredibly romantic.”
“When I first came up with the concept, I instantly knew there was no other location choice than Dover Hall. Everything about this venue is grandiose and luxurious and when we first arrived at the venue to document a wedding last summer, we instantly fell in love with its sophisticated charm. The property is full of these meticulous details that I cherish as a photographer and the entire space played perfectly into the inspiration of the editorial. We were so inspired to do a styled session here that we also wanted to create a short film to accompany the session. We felt that it was important to be able to capture the moving life of the venue because there are so many special details within it.”
“The florals are organic, romantic, and a bit moody! I think Lisa from Petals and Promises did a phenomenal job at creating incredible texture and a romantic color palette that completely fit my vision. The cake was a black fondant three tier cake with gold leaf accents. Since there are touches of Gothic inspiration in this editorial, I wanted some black to be incorporated in the paper goods and the cake!”
