Dreamy Ballerina Wedding Inspiration with Classic Blue Details

Perfete / Thursday October 11, 2018

There’s something about ballet that is so instantly captivating. It’s ingrained in our culture. Natural grace, long lines and a beautiful calm feeling. Like watching a painting come to life. In fact, the inspiration for this shoot arose from Degas’ painting Dancers in Blue. The painting captures a quiet feeling of anticipation before the curtain rises, the meditative energy of the dancers as they prepare to put their hearts on stage. These small moments are mirrored on a wedding day as a couple eagerly prepare and wait for the unique and precious occasion of saying their vows in front of loved ones. Most girls have dreamed of being a ballerina at some point in their lives, so why not incorporate some ballet themes into your wedding day? That’s just what this team did with this stunning styled shoot.

“We used Degas’ vibrant layered blues and soft pinks for our color palette, and took advantage of the amazing French antique furniture and salvaged architectural details of our venue,” said Heather K Cook Photography  “The venue owner also provided us with an antique painted stage backdrop for portraits of the dancers.Hints of 19th century style paired with a modern spirit create a feeling of romance as timeless as Degas’ lovely ballerinas.”
