An Outback Adventure Themed First Birthday Party

It goes without saying that we loveeee children’s parties here at #Perfete! The colors, the outpouring of love, the themes!!! We’re obsessed!

Cobe’s birthday was one for the books and one of my favorites! We typically tend to go all out for girls so I love to see boys get the same energy!

This outback-themed party was beyond cute and deeply meaningful! The entire theme was inspired by Cobe’s first Koala toy purchased right before he was born – it was destiny!

The event was planned by event planner extraordinaire who also happens to be Cobe’s mom! Chris of Chris Fete Events

Chris: Designing Cobe’s first birthday was very special. Not only was he a COVID baby – in the thick of it, June 2020 – but this was the last “first birthday” momma would plan. The idea came from “what would Cobe’s nursery theme be?” The very first item I bought Cobe was a koala, and from there, the “Cobe’s Koala” theme came about. 7 months pregnant and I knew what his first birthday theme would be!

We wanted an innocent, warm and fuzzy palette, so we took his favorite blanket as the
inspiration, using tones of mint and gray, and added pops of modern flare with the black and white and tan accents.

For a COVID-friendly party, we had to be extremely careful, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and safe, especially the birthday boy. We held everything outside with blankets and poufs for seating. These kids, of course, had their fully decorated table with mint kid-sized chairs. We had a crepe station, cotton candy station, photo booths for fun, and of course some Australian reptile friends to complete our “Cobe’s First Outback” theme.
