Happy #WeddingWednesday! Today’s real wedding has a romantic twist – the bride and groom actually met at their wedding photographer’s studio! Kyle and Dianna met at Love Life Images’ Snapshot Studio at their construction company’s holiday work party. Dianna plans the meetings and events for the company, and booked the Photo Booth for their party. At the time, Kyle was based in New Jersey and relocating to Raleigh, NC, so on his way south, he decided to attend the DC party to meet some of the staff in the area. The pair hit it off immediately, got a few fun photos together and that was the start of their romance. Fast forward a year later, and the couple and the photographer were back in Washington DC for their wedding! Before saying “I Do”, the pair headed to the Lincoln Memorial for portraits at the spot where Kyle proposed. Kyle is an Army Vet so the pair made sure to get a few portraits with the American Flag that hangs outside the hotel.
The Ceremony
This sweet couple chose to have a very intimate wedding, with only their closest family in attendance for a total of only 12 guests! The ceremony was held in the Mezzanine Loft at the Park Hyatt and they had a special Quaker-style ceremony where everyone there acts as a witness and “officiates” the marriage. Dianna carried a cameo from her Nana (her mom’s mother) on her bouquet, which is a family tradition begun by the women in her generation. Their favorite detail from the wedding was their rings- a pair of Cartier Trinity rings, made of interlocking bands of yellow, rose and white gold (to signify love, friendship and fidelity).
The Reception
In this same space as their ceremony, they shared post-ceremony cocktails and their first dance before concluding the evening with dinner and cake downstairs at the Blue Duck Tavern. It is so easy to see the joy and love between this happy couple – we wish them nothing but the best in their life together.
