Happy New Year! I’m taking a quick break from maternity leave to share our colorful blue nursery for our baby boy. This room was a passion project for me and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I didn’t have a set vision for the room when we first started. In fact, I designed the nursery around this wallpaper I found on Wayfair. The problem was it kept running out in stores around the country and no-one had enough for a whole room. I was so obsessed with it that I waited two months for the manufacturer to restock and send to its US distributors lol. It was definitely worth the wait.
Inspiration: We wanted a bright, colorful space with re-useable furniture in case we have another baby in the future. I have been on a blue-kick for a while now so it was the first color I thought of, especially once I saw the wallpaper. My first instinct was to pair the blue with just grey but one thing led to another and we ended up with almost every color imaginable. This nursery has quite a few of my favorite things, from the acrylic side table to animal prints in brushed gold frames and this pretty cool giraffe shelf. I couldn’t be happier with the end result and hope this inspires someone shopping for their own look. I tried to provide links to every single item at the end of this post. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
