Modern Glamorous Wedding in Nashville

Brianna Kozlarek / Wednesday May 31, 2017

Happy #WeddingWednesday! Todays’s feature is an absolute knockout. It has the perfect modern, glamorous vibe, AKA right up our alley. Erin and Victor met through a close friend while living in New York. After their first date they were inseparable.    “Victor and I lived together for 3 years prior to our engagement,” said Erin. “He was traveling a ton for work so we really cherished our time at home together. While in bed one morning, Victor rolled over and before I knew it, he had a ring box in his hand.  He proposed to me right there, first thing in the morning, just the two of us and it was perfect.”

“When we decided to get married in Nashville, I knew that we wanted to get married in the winter. Our wedding planner really helped us to distill our ideas into our final vision. We wanted to have a wedding that felt like us. We wanted the atmosphere to be warm and for the party to be fun.” Erin Lee Allender photographed their day perfectly:

The Ceremony

“The day of the wedding I was calm,” said Erin. “The day felt special, not in an over the top, anxious way, but in the way when you know everything is just right.  We had planned for a year, ironed out every detail. Even if everything went wrong, I knew I was marrying my best friend.   Our days started with a Women’s brunch for me and a Men’s brunch for Victor.  Our friends and family gathered around us to give us love and wisdom.  When I walked down the aisle towards Victor the world quieted and I could only see him. The ceremony was wonderful but really looking into Victor’s eyes throughout the night, I knew we were meant to be.”

The Reception

“Our special touches were interwoven throughout the evening,” said Erin. “My best friend, an opera singer sang Ave Maria as the processional started. We had a quartet play classical renditions of our favorite songs.  We had a Crystal and Floral Chandelier that was to die for and our band learned a special arrangement of our first dance song. But most of all we had our family and friends that traveled from far and wide to celebrate with us.”
