The moment Ryan and Lia stepped foot on the property of Evergreen Museum and Library, they knew it was where they wanted to get married. It was the perfect combination of elegance, charm and character that they had been searching for. With visions of sunny weather, an outdoor ceremony in the lower gardens and cocktail hour on the patio, mother nature did not see eye to eye. Despite the rain, event planners Lemon & Lime Event Design did an amazing job working with the vendors to create a romantic and inviting space for their day. With the sound of rain on the roof they said their vows in front of their families and close friends.
“We gathered inspiration from the venue,” said Lia. “Working with the existing beautiful dark wood paneled carriage house and the greenery of the gardens, it was easy to create a color palate of gray, gold, blush and cream that complimented the spaces. Some of our favorite details include the farmhouse head table, bistro lighting above the ceremony and sentimental touches throughout the day. The rain cleared up for just enough time to take some photos outside and the lighting was amazing. We felt our wedding was a reflection of us as a couple – a bit of advice we’d give to others planning their own wedding. It was our day to celebrate us!” Dani Leigh Photography captured all the magic:
