Jami & Brendon from “Say Yes to the Dress” Elope in Paris

Perfete / Monday August 13, 2018

Nothing is as quintessentially romantic as the city of Paris. The lights, the stories, the Eiffel Tower – it’s the city of love for a romance. This lovely couple was featured on TLC’s “Say yes to the Dress.” (To answer your qeustion, yes, we’ve seen every episode cause OBVIOUSLY 🙂 ). Jami & Brendon decided to elope just the two of them to their dream destination of Paris to soak up all its beauty and glamour. “Traveling is one of our biggest passions, so we both knew we wanted to elope to another country and spend the entire time celebrating in an exquisite city just the two of us” said Jami. “Paris is also one of my favorite cities so that spoke to me as the perfect place to say I do. Since Brendon had never been to Paris I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share my favorite city with him and that we could get married in such a memorable place.” Scroll below for the gorgeous photos by Claire Morris Photography and also a quick Q&A we did with the couple!

What was the inspiration behind planning your wedding (colour palette, decor, venue)?

Traveling is one of our biggest passions, so we both knew we wanted to elope to another country and spend the entire time celebrating in an exquisite city just the two of us. Paris is also one of my favorite cities so that spoke to me as the perfect place to say I do. Since Brendon had never been to Paris I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share my favorite city with him and that we could get married in such a memorable place.

Was there a special part of the wedding day that stood apart from the rest?

Everything about celebrating in Paris for the entire week was incredible. Our favorite part was probably our wedding dinner because we had dinner on our own private terrace with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. We spent hours eating the most amazing meal, drinking bottles of champagne, listening to music, and watching the Eiffel Tower show all her beauty by sparkling.

Any unique details about your day?

Well we had a camera crew following us around for part of the day for a well known wedding show in the states called Say Yes to the Dress. Since I loved the show I thought why not get them involved. As for the rest of the day It was so laid back. Since it was just the two of us, we were able to spend a lot of time taking gorgeous pictures in the city, soaking in all the moments, and enjoying each other’s company.

What advice would you give to brides and grooms planning their day?

Decide what aspects of a wedding you and your groom truly value and plan around those things. Brendon and I knew we wanted an adventure, we wanted a stress-free day, and we (or really I) wanted some glamour! After agreeing on what mattered most, we were able to plan out what a perfect wedding day looked like for us!
