Today we are pleased to introduce you to one of our newest #PrettyPerfectPartners, Pretty Posh Events. (Can you tell we love their name?) Pretty Posh Events is a full service Event Planning, Floral and Event Design company creating awe inspiring events, specifically tailored to each client’s needs, yet in a manner that exceeds their expectation. They are New Jersey based, serving the tri state, but they absolutely love to travel. We had the opportunity to sit down with Pretty Posh Events owner Abby to learn more about their beautiful work and grab a few tips for our readers:
1. Describe your style and aesthetic
As a certified event designer, I can interpret a client’s design needs and create a look and style that suits them to perfection but regardless of that style, be it rustic, modern, glam, vintage, whimsical or a combination of styles, my work can typically be classified as clean, detailed & chic.
2. What inspired you to work in the wedding industry?
A combination of things, first my love for fashion and all things design related. The second thing was (as cliché as it may sound) planning my own wedding and my sister’s wedding.
3. Do you have any advice for brides on the wedding planning process?
Hire a planner! Even if it’s not within your budget to hire someone for full service, consider a partial or day off coordination service, it will be the best investment you could make for your wedding. There are too many moving parts in the wedding planning process and the expertise of a planner/designer will make that process less stressful and time consuming.
4.) When you’re not working your day (and night!) job, what do you love to do?
Catching up on my TV shows – Project Runway, HGTVs the next design star, The real housewives of Atlanta, Quantico, Homeland, Blindspot, Scandal, Empire, The 100 and David Tutera’s Celebrations.
5. Name some of your favorite places you’ve found yourself for work
Oheka Castle and the NYIT De Seversky Mansion both in Long Island as well as the Four Seasons Hotel in Orlando.
6. Name some of your favorite vendors you’ve worked with
Aida Malik Photography, Ndidi Ayoola of Oda Creative, Nana Annan Photography, By Petronella Photography, I Know Mike Music, Juicy Looks MUA, Prestige Affairs, JB Lighting.
7. Do you travel within the US and/or Internationally?
Yes we have been blessed to work in several states including, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Houston, Florida and in Ghana as well.
