Happy Sunday friends! A year ago today, I was celebrating with two of my favorite people in what can only be described as a fairytale. Kike and Tayo tied the knot in a dreamy blue and ivory wedding at London’s historic Grosvenor House. This elegant summer wedding was filled with the sweetest details and so many heartfelt moments. As most of you know, Kike is one-half of the blogging duo Style by Queens, and our resident fashionista here at Aisle Perfect. I am so excited to finally share this beautiful London affair with you and would like to take this opportunity to wish our #aisleperfect couple a happy anniversary and a lifetime of happily ever-afters. You can look back at the couple’s entire journey to the altar by clicking here. Photography was by Alakija Studios, Photonimi and our Pretty Perfect Vendor Demi O. Photography.
From the Bride:
Inspiration for the Day: We are not fans of very bright colours and as such we decided to go with subtle colours (ivory & gold) and for a pop of colour – sapphire blue. We wanted the decor to be as simple as possible but very elegant – we achieved this with our Center pieces and lighting.
Special Projects: Our dear friend and brother – Lekan, had this great idea of making #TKO14 Snapbacks – these were a hit!
Favorite Moments: There were SO many but I get excited when I remember (a) Our wedding reception entrance to “We Dem Boys” – this is very typical of Tayo and I. (b) Tayo showing me dance moves I have never seen before- I think every single person was incredibly surprised by my husband’s moves. (c) my surprise tribute video in memory of our fathers.
Advice for brides (on the wedding planning process): Do. Not. Stress! Your wedding day is not likely to be perfect; but you can control how this affects you. By God’s grace this will be the only wedding you get to have so make sure you enjoy it!
