To celebrate the start of their parenting journey, Jamie and her husband designed a travel-themed nursery for their son, Vincent. They enlisted the expertise of Tampa-based Captured In His Image Photography to create lasting memories of their newborn in his new home. The decor is so unique – meant to represent Jamie’s love of travel, something that she hopes to instill in Vincent as he grows up – it leaves us itching to hop on a plane and jet off to somewhere new.
When asked about the inspiration behind the nursery, Jamie said: “I started with the idea of a travel/world theme. I traveled quite a bit when I was younger and knew that I wanted my son to travel one day too. I think it’s so important for people to know other cultures other than their own. I think traveling humbles you and teaches you so many important lessons in life.” She added, “I wanted to create a calm, inspiring space. I am not one for “matchy matchy” areas so I would find certain pieces and know that it would end up in the nursery; not because it matched well but because of what I thought that item would bring to the room. In the end, everything worked well together.”
