Happy Tuesday folks! I am so excited to introduce fashion blogger Shay Moné. Shay is a new mama to the most adorable baby boy and an all around awesome-nista! (see her blog here). She’ll be joining the PPL team as a Visiting Contributor (kinda like a visiting professor) for the next couple of weeks. Her content will be a mix of various lifestyle topics from style to home design and of course mama-hood. I could go on and on about Baby Ashton and his fabulous mommy but I’ll let you find out for yourselves. So stop by her blog and check out her first Pretty Perfect Living feature below. Welcome Shay Moné !
The big buzz topic for the past few days has been NYFW! Every girl loves a runway look, but sometimes the styles and outfits are just not for everyday wear. One way that you can stay on trend and incorporate these looks into your life is by adding a piece of that style into your home décor. Spring is just around the corner, and the best way to spruce up your house is by letting different shows from NYFW inspire you. The Kate Spade show was one of my favorite from all of the #nyfw looks that I have seen on social media. I have chosen my top 3 looks from the collection, and realized that I can now incorporate these looks into my home.
Interior design is one of my hobbies, and I love to change up a room for the different seasons. With spring approaching, pops of color like hues of blue, pinks, greens, and yellows are the perfect palettes. You don’t have to spend a lot of money by doing a total room makeover, but instead buy (for example) coffee table books or lampshades in the pop color that you want to incorporate. Textiles, patterns, and embellishments are also inspirational in which you can incorporate in your home through throw pillows and blankets. I am inspired by fashion, and some are inspired by art, colors, and photography. What inspires you, and gets your creative juices flowing to decorate your home?
Hope to hear from you guys soon!
