TGIF! We’re closing out the week with a beautiful wedding and an even more beautiful love story courtesy of Howerton+Wooten Events. Janelle and Jerry tied the knot in a beautiful mint and rose gold wedding at the Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore, Maryland. The lovebirds met on the campus of North Carolina A&T State University in 2002.

How he asked: The couple traveled to Europe to celebrate Janelle’s 30th birthday and she had told Jerry she was most excited to visit Santorini – a breathtaking island in Greece. During a romantic sunset dinner in Santorini, Jerry dropped to his knee and asked his college sweetheart to be his wife.

We LOVE the elegant mint, gold and black palette Janelle chose. It was the perfect combination of soft and glam. From shopping for sequin fabric in Los Angeles’ fashion district, to applying her creative background in graphic design to create the fab stationery,the bride was fully involved in the process of her perfecting her gorgeous day.  This wedding was full of heart and personal moments. The food served at the cocktail reception and the dinner was a reflection of the couple – Mediterranean for their engagement in Greece, Southern for Jerry’s roots in North Carolina, and even Maryland-style crab cakes with Old Bay seasoning! During the reception, Jerry and his fraternity brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi serenaded Janelle with a song and stroll. Swoon!
