Happy #WeddingWednesday! Today we are featuring a stunning Nigerian wedding photographed by our amazing #PrettyPerfectPartner Wani Olatunde. Yetunde and Lolade had their Traditional Yoruba engagement at Grandeur Events in Lagos, Nigeria. Nothing gets us more excited than seeing our pretty perfect vendors come together, so this combination of Faces by Labisi and Wani Olatunde was absolutely aisle perfect. Bride Yetunde said
First thing I did after the date was set at our introduction was booking makeup artist Labisi Folawiyo, she knows her craft too well and she’s an amazing soul. I love Labisi! She did my makeup for my introduction, registry and of course Traditional wedding. Next for photography for the wedding, I wanted timeless and classic pictures and Wani was the one. I believe every couple should have Wani shoot them. Like have you seen my Traditional Wedding pictures?
We can’t argue – these are perfection!
“I am not your typical bride,” said Yetunde. “I didn’t have colors or anything in mind prior to the wedding. I recall while I was fabric hunting and the first question was what my favorite colors were and I go dunno…lol. I used Pinterest a lot in deciding the colors of the day. I went through tons of color boards and finally decided on Aqua Blue & Silver. I wanted clean white décor and flowery centerpieces. Deola (my planner) took care of it.”
“While we were both waiting to be called upon, I called hubby and he goes you must be feeling a lot of nerves right now but I’ve got you and I love you and can’t wait to see you. Oh I didn’t expect to cry a lot but I did when I saw my dad, he cried too (cry babies). Every moment was special; the support of our families and friends was overwhelming.” And the advice Yetunde has for future brides? “Don’t sweat the small stuff.I barely noticed the details I was so particular about. Pray a lot and learn to compromise especially with the folks, it is as much as their day as yours. Please do enjoy your day, it goes by pretty fast.”
