Ashlyn and Hanz are the quintessential adorable young couple with hearts of gold! They both grew up in Bakersfield, California, went to high school together, and fell in love. They did the long distance college relationship and kept their love deeply rooted in their faith and love for God. Ashlyn was going to school at Chapman University in Orange County, she fell in love with the beach, so when it came time to select a wedding venue Monarch Beach Resort was the perfect location! They loved the option to have a fully outdoor wedding with an Al Fresco dinner and after party in Club 19. “We got to work creating an amazing design that was botanical, inviting, and a touch of boho,” said Natalie from A Good Affair. Rich green, blush, and white was the perfect color palette from the save the dates to the wedding decor. “We created a romantic and lush ceremony altar for them to say I Do. A vintage doorway started the aisle and wild white roses and southern smilax were staples in the floral design.”
“On the wedding day some of the highlights were the escort wall we created with black and white photographs of each guest with their seat denoted on the back. A perfect little keepsake from the day! Hanz rented a vintage red convertible, the perfect getaway car that we adorned with balloons. The after party was so fun, I suggested to Ashlyn and Hanz that we bring in arcade games (something I knew Ashlyn would LOVE) and it was such a hit! Guests enjoyed lively games of air hockey and a wall sized Tetris while enjoying burgers from the In-n-Out truck and fresh mini donuts from The Fry Girl! The couple were sent off in a tunnel of LED wands.”
“Working with Ashlyn and Hanz and Michelle and Scott Hill (the bride’s sweet parents) was a highlight in my career. They trusted me and my team every step of the way, including an unprecedented pandemic! Truly hearts of gold and memories we will never forget!”
