There’s nothing we love more than a beautiful baby shower, and the theme of today’s particularly is right up our alley 😉 Melissa and Blair’s baby shower was destined to be magical. When the mother-to-be is the CEO of B Astonished Events, LLC and a Senior Wedding Planner & Designer herself, she had no choice to connect with some of her favorite vendors and make her dream come true.

The baby shower revolved around the theme “Over The Moon” and we incorporated elephants to symbolize the strength and power I have resembled during my pregnancy of my soon to be first born baby boy. It was the perfect day to host my baby shower at one of the newest venues in the Washington Metropolitian area, The Hotel at The University of Maryland.
In preparation for the baby shower, Mrs. Addie of BCG Events helped us bring our vision to life. When we walked into the shower, there were so many surprises that I truly couldn’t believe how blessed I was to have such amazing vendor friends. No detail was left behind, and the layout of the venue was used to the fullest allowing our 130 family and friends, who had arrived from all across country, to mix and mingle between the event room and the outdoor rooftop to take advantage of the beautiful sunny day. The color palette was a combination of blues, yellows, white, and a pop of gold. We had a custom designed moon, a plush couch, and balloon stars and clouds to compliment the theme as our backdrop. The room was filled on every table with beautiful lush flowers on gold rings, elephants, candles, and a variety of different charger plates. The linens were baby blue with gorgeous sheer overlays that resembled clouds. There was a dessert area for the 4-tier cake created by Couture Cakes by Sabrina and complementing cupcakes and cake pops by The Art of Suga to match. Our shower was hosted by my close friends and soon-to-be aunties who led all of the games that had the guests out of their seats! We had a sangria bar for guests to sip on as they danced throughout the entire evening. We are overjoyed to be blessed with such amazing family, friends, and vendor friends who contributed to our Magical Over The Moon Baby Shower.
