Mahalia’s 35th birthday celebration was a perfect example of both. “I stuck to the year 1985, sharing fun facts about that year. For decor, we kept everything all black, mature and simple. Black velvet linen, black chairs, black menus, candles, decor and even florals. We added pops of purple to signify amethyst which is my birth stone, even having specially made drinks called The Color Purple since that movie came out in 1985.” LOVE the birthstone detail! We also adore the unique fringe ceiling install and the textured menus. And perhaps our favorite detail? The selfie mirror with the empowering message, “You look amazing, now go grab a drink.” Don’t have to tell us twice!
