Black & Purple Wedding Inspiration with Rock & Roll Vibes

Loving the fresh vibes of this rock & roll inspired wedding shoot! Purple and black details bring a sultry mood, and WHERE can we get that leather jacket? Deets please!  “From the first minute I entered Hub City Brewery for a vendor tour, I knew this was a place I would love to have an event in,”said Southern Sparkle Wedding & Event Planning .What better way to let not only couples know this wonderful place existed but also event vendors than to have a styled shoot?! The owner agreed with me and off I ran. My vision included the colors black and purple, black leather jackets, records used somehow, vintage bowling balls, and a black 3 tiered cake. I wanted none of the things that I had seen at any other weddings. The vendors brought my vision to fruition.”
“We were able to use some of the vintage albums as food trays. With the black cake in the center of the table, it was for sure not something that I had seen before. The sign in “book” was actually an album with the couple’s names on it created by Lettering by Tori. We were also able to find two vintage bowling balls and one of them was purple. Tori wrote Mr. and Mrs. on these, as well as the lettering for the leather jacket worn by the bride. The quote is one of my favorites by one of my favorite bands, Citizen Cope. Since this was my jacket and I wanted to wear it again, I didn’t want to put “bride” on it. I also haven’t seen a bride wear a black leather jacket that says “These Feelings Just Won’t Go Away” on it.

Minted supplied us with the menus and other paper products used on the head table that included a black velvet linen with purple velvet napkins from BBJ Linens. Black and purple taper candles were used for the custom-made concrete candle holders used on the table. The tableware provided by Please Be Seated was matte black on black chargers. The flatware was black and gold and the glasses were black as well. Concrete custom vases were also made for some of the mostly purple flower arrangements created by Southern Sparkle Florals. I wanted the bouquet to be all purple and that’s what I got! The flowers for the ceremony were my vision that I had for another bride, however, she decided on something different. This had never been done at one of my weddings so now was our chance to go for it. The oversized concrete stage was the perfect spot. Florals which included hints of purple pampas grass from Ronald’s Pampas Grass in California formed a semi-circle around the couple. The backdrop for the ceremony was the purple Hub City Brewery logo.”
