Athleisure Must Haves – for the gym or the grocery store

Brianna Kozlarek / Monday January 21, 2019

Don’t worry, this isn’t your generic “It’s January time to hit the gym!” post. I’m not the biggest fan of the phrase “New Year, New Me,” for a few reasons. First of all, while there’s definitely areas that we all want to work on, I think we’re all kick ass chicks just trying to make it in this madness. And personally, I’ve come a long way since my early 20’s, the dark days of my blunt bangs and ability to drink unreasonable amounts of Jägermeister. I’m proud of the woman I’ve become and have learned a lot of self care and survival techniques along the way, so I don’t want to scrap it all just because it’s a new year. That said, I own a ridiculous amount of athleisure for someone who considers “long walks” to be her main form of cardiovascular activity. So, one of my goals for 2019 is definitely to move more – not necessarily to get ripped (cause let’s be honest, if I was gonna have abs it was probably going to be before age 30). But because sunshine, fresh air and moving my body makes me happier, less anxious and also provides great insta content – kidding. To motivate myself, I’m adding a few key pieces to my workout wardrobe that will make me feel chic in my movement endeavor. Here’s what I’m loving right now:
