Moody Styled Shoot at the Winchester Mystery House

Perfete / Tuesday August 14, 2018

Today’s shoot is seriously cool, moody and even a bit spooky.  It’s the first-ever styled shoot to take place at the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose California. The design inspiration for the shoot was focused around the allure and mystery that is the Winchester Mystery House. I actually visited this interesting landmark a few years ago and the story behind it is absolutely fascinating, and tragic. You can read all about it here.

“We wanted to incorporate both light and dark elements in the wedding depicting both love and loss that was the foundation of Sarah Winchester building this mansion,” said Hailey from Archer Inspired. “We wanted to showcase rooms and areas in the house that the average guest could not explore and bring love and life to it.” Heather took one of a kind photos of the couple standing at the door to nowhere. Cera Singley Events planned two different looks for the bride, dark and light, to showcase the symbolism of love and death the house was built around. They also included subtle ties to Sarah Winchester’s favorite number: 13: 13 edison light bulbs suspending from a black branch above the dining table and 13 flowers on the 6-tier black cake. Scroll for some very unique and stunning images:
