I feel like neutral tones with gorgeous greenery is quickly becoming this summer’s wedding theme, and I’m not mad about it! Today’s real wedding feature is simply stunning, and the cherry on top is definitely the always amazing photography skills of Kristen Curette. “Alex and I love simplicity,” said bride Lana. “I knew I wanted something really light and whimsical, and that’s why I decided on ivory and fern/hunter green. The venue was already GORGEOUS to begin with, so we didn’t need to do a lot with decorations. I took to Pinterest for ideas on center pieces, table settings, and the perfect sparkler exit. The DIYs were the best part in the planning process. I DIY’ed our wedding invites, RSVP cards, table numbers, bar menu, dinner menu, table seating chart, and I had my sister-in-law DIY our desserts table. :)”
“Our first-look was my absolute favorite moment of the day. We exchanged our vows at this time and every minute of it was perfect. I cried enough during our first-look that I was good to walk down the aisle without shedding a single tear. I was worried about our guests seeing my ugly-crying face, so I’m incredibly happy that our photography suggested doing a first-look.”

Lana’s advice for brides to be? “Take advantage of Pinterest. You DON’T have to invite everyone. Hire a videographer, even if it’s a cheap one. REMEMBER TO EAT ON THE DAY-OF. And don’t stress over the small details! Nobody is going to remember whether or not your napkins matched with the center pieces.”
