Happy #WeddingWednesday! Today we’re featuring a super cool and unique wedding in New Orleans, photographed by our fabulous #PrettyPerfectPartner Kristen Curette . “The wedding definitely had that southern charm & old soul uniqueness about it,” said Kristen. “And their reception was probably one of my favorites ever. I even photographed the ‘after party’ when the wedding ended & everyone headed down Bourbon street to hit the bars & drink the famous New Orleans hand grenades.” Sounds like a blast! Is anyone else craving a beignet right now?
A few words from the bride: “My own eclectic nature stood behind most of my inspiration for our wedding vibe. I love Rose Gold, and Drew appreciated the timeless approach to our colors, Navy, with Earth Tones (golds, beiges, creams) and we intertwined brass candlesticks and some real fire for the daring side! Drew and I sat down and decided what pieces were most important to us each, Drew pointing out the Open Bar, me pointing out the food and us both making sure the music was perfect.”
The Ceremony
“My favorite moment of the day was walking down the aisle to my future husband, with Larry Vaughn. He stepped into my life just after college, and basically raised me as his own. He was my first ‘real boss at a ‘real’ company, who taught me how to act, how to grow, how to be a good person in the world. I will be forever grateful for his presence in my life, and it’s always going to be a moment I cherish.” The bride’s advice for other couples planning a wedding? “Never fight over things. Decide early what your non-negotiables are, and as the bride, when you present options, make sure that any option you present is something you’d be okay with, so that when your future husband chooses, you aren’t disenchanted with it not being what you wanted.”
