Happy Monday lovers! We have such a beautiful engagement story to share today, Josiah and Reanne met in the summer of 2011 when he moved into the house next door to her while we both attended undergrad at Chico. They hit it off as friends, began dating, did about 8 months of long distance and decided to move in together once they both graduated. Josiah proposed right before they left for their trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. They went for a drive out to Mount Diablo to watch the sunset, but when they were about to enter the park it was closing.
“I was just like whatever let’s just go home, but Josiah (freaking out on the inside) wanted to find a different spot,” said Reanne. “I suggested a spot that I had seen on my drive home from work so we drove over there and made it just in time for the sun to set. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, I was shocked because I was expecting him to propose in New Orleans. I was still so happy (I said yes!) and the ring was a perfect fit! It actually made our trip even better because we got to celebrate our engagement the entire time we were there.”
Reanne’s advice for other couples for their Engagement session? “Wear clothes that are comfortable and you feel great in!! Try to have fun and forget that there’s a camera. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or for directions. During the session really try and feel the love you have for each other, it makes it that much easier to show it in your photos and you will leave the session feeling that much more in love.” Heather Selzer captured their stunning engagement session:
