Today’s #WeddingWednesday feature feels like such a breath of fresh air. The bride and groom tied the knot in an intimate loft wedding on a summer afternoon in Houston, TX in front of a small group of their closest family and friends. Both the bride and groom are artists and educators in their own right. Eric is a grade school teacher and freelance photographer, while Deun is an illustrator, photographer, and creative director. You know it was absolute magic when these two came together. The couple opted for a minimalist design aesthetic brought to life by Fight For Joy events + design.
The venue space was a blank canvas of exposed brick, industrial windows, high ceilings, and concrete floors. The color scheme was white, green, and beige with pops of metallic. The tables were set with geometric sculptures and white orchids. Rose gold accents adorned the gift table. A set of alphanumeric balloons placed above the cake table spelled out “YAY” above the cake as a nod to the bride’s oft-used phrase. The couple “jumped the broom” after the pronouncement and posed for an editorial worthy shoot. After dinner, they toasted with copper glassware and cut the cake. It was a perfectly simple ceremony filled with joy and laughter. Sit back and enjoy this beautiful celebration of love captured by Stephanie Rogers .
