Happy Friday! Today we’re sharing a gorgeous black tie outdoor wedding in New Jersey. The inspiration behind Lauren and Chad’s big day was…FUN! They wanted an outdoor wedding with a tented reception and were hoping for a venue that would only host one wedding a day and could be a weekend getaway for our guests. They found the perfect venue in the Inn at Millrace Pond. We love their bright color palette of white, ivory and pops of purple. Lauren and Chad didn’t have a wedding party, so the flowers and bridal accessories were where they added these pops of color. Bride Lauren’s favorite moment from the day was the feeling of magic that, in her words,
Was totally unexpected. We knew it would be a special day, but it was just so perfect and magical. We were both very emotional, which made our guests really emotional. Our ceremony was so intimate, as we had our ceremony in the middle of all of our guests with a round seating arrangement.
The biggest piece of advice Lauren would give to future brides?
Just sit back for a minute and take in the day. I received that advice during our rehearsal dinner and it was the best advice. It gives you a chance to stop for a moment and have that memory. Make sure to hire a videographer, there are so many moments you miss and this is a great way to capture it all. I would also advise hiring a wedding planner, she saved us so much time by giving us perfect vendors and made sure everything was perfect.
