Happy Monday Folks! We threw our first ever event- Trends and Tastings at the Loft at 600 F in Washington, DC and it was AH-MAY-ZING! I was so emotional throughout, just thinking about how far Aisle Perfect has come and the countless connections we’ve made with wedding influencers who truly understand our brand and the intent behind it.
We got to hear about the latest in bridal trends and what to expect in 2016 from the incredible talents behind Alexandria Lindo, BCG Events, Intrigue Designs, The Light Source Company, Tweet the Bride, Tickled Photobooth. We talked shop while feasting on yummy hors d’oeuvres by Chef Brazil of Spyce Co and drinks by Sugar Rim Bar.
It was wonderful to see so many of the creative professionals we’ve featured on Aisle Perfect through their styled shoots, real weddings, engagements and more! We look forward to partnering with our old and new industry friends in 2016! Please enjoy the gorgeous images captured by Terri Baskin Photography whom I am now obsessed with.
One of my favorite details was this calligraphed mirror by Just Write Studios. There’s something about seeing your name in “lights” that makes you feel super special.
Trend: In 2016, couples will be doing more personalization with creative methods like calligraphy, photography and decals!
Trend: Blush and Gold are here to stay. You can expect a lot of that combo in wedding stationery. Couples are amping up this romantic pairing with bold metallics like copper and bronze to give it an extra edge. We’re completely here for it.
Trend: According to Sarah of Intrigue Designs, Garden florals will continue to conquer in 2016. Flowers will be wild and free with imperfections becoming perfection!
Ten23 designs added the finishing touches to our event decor with their wooden calligraphy signs. They’re a guaranteed crowd-pleaser!
We had the pleasure of having Sophie of Tweet the Bride take over our instagram during the event. She also spoke on the various tech trends to expect in 2016.
Trend: Unplugged weddings are here to stay. Instead of having everyone on the phone, couples are assigning social media people (like Tweet the Bride) to handle all social captures throughought the day. For even cooler videography captures, you’ll be seeing more camera drones at weddings. It’s 2016 people! welcome to the future!
Trend: Lauren of Tickled Photobooth spoke on the photobooth trends for 2016. Couples are doing away with the usual props and adding fun methods such as GIFs.
