After you’ve said “yes” to the dress – don’t forget about the groom! Our #PrettyPerfectPartner Mr. Baldwin Style is your go-to resource for groom styling. They are passionate about grooms looking their best on their wedding day and have got you covered from wardrobe selection to personal styling and photo shoot production. We had a great Q&A with our newest partner where they shared their inspiration, tips and tricks for any bride to be. Read on for all the details!
1.) Describe your style and aesthetic:
The Mr. Baldwin Style aesthetic is pretty classic and elevated. Sometimes, when appropriate, we like classic with a little bit of edge but we try not to get caught up in too many trends. Especially when it comes to styling clients for their weddings.
2.) Do you travel within the US and/or Internationally?
We travel within the US and internationally but the majority of our work with engaged couples (specifically grooms) is done prior to the wedding day. On occasion we will be on site to assist the groom and groomsmen get prepared for the big day.
3.) What inspired you to work in the wedding industry?
After planning our own wedding and reading many publications we realized that often not a lot of attention is given to the groom. And in particular his apparel. Following this observation we decided to combine our passion for love and fashion with Donnell’s experience as a menswear stylist to form Mr. Baldwin Style.
4.) What is your favorite thing about wedding photography?
The ability to capture moments and memories that will last a lifetime
5-6.) Name some of your favorite places you’ve found yourself for work and name some of your favorite vendors you’ve worked with.
Mae B. Films, Amy Anaiz Photo, Kesha Lambert Photography, Elle’s Couture Events, Royale Amethyst Invitations, By Petronella Photography, Vainglorious Brides, DJ Mike Music, Victorious Events, Makini Regal Designs, Alea Lovely Fine Art Photography, Phileanor
7.) Do you have any advice for brides on the wedding planning process?
Give the groom a little room to be part of the planning process. Invite him into the process of planning the apparel for he and his groomsmen. Don’t just dictate what he will wear on the wedding day.
8.) When you’re not working your day (and night!) job, what do you love to do?
Attend concerts, travel, experience beautiful places and things
9.) If you could travel to any destination right now, where would it be?
10.) What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
We are both quite addicted to almond milk ice cream
