Tell us a little about Yourself?
Since opening Elle’s Couture in 2010, I’ve fallen passionately in love with planning events and playing a huge role in one of the biggest days of my client’s lives. I’m an absolute believer of gorgeous flowers, details and anything sweet & yummy. I also believe that every event deserves to be custom, different and just as unique as you are. From intimate celebrations in a city loft, to weddings on a farm set under the stars, to over the top glam with enough sparkle to light the city, our professional team brings a fresh and creative approach to the design and planning process.
Just imagine yourself in your picture perfect event, everything the way you envisioned it! I work with you from start to finish, every step of the way ensuring an unimaginable experience. Whether it’s your dream wedding, birthday, or intimate dinner, the details always differ but the outcome of an unforgettable day remains the same.
What inspired you to go into planning ?
Honestly I never thought I’d be Wedding & Event Planner. I pursued the traditional path of college, gaining a well paid job, meeting my prince charming and living happily ever after. I’ve always had a love for entertaining and often threw lavish dinner parties, game nights and birthday parties. One day a friend asked if I’d help her plan and design her baby shower. I gladly accepted and from that one party I got hired to plan bunch more. I threw out my traditional road map, resigned from my corporate job, followed my passion and started Elle’s Couture Events, a boutique event planning and design company.
What is your favorite part of the planning process?
I’ve fell passionately in love with planning events and playing a huge role in one of the biggest days of my client’s lives. From our initial meeting, to picking colors & concepts, the good and the bad of budget meetings, I truly love it all. If I had to pick one it would be the glee of excitement when I reveal the reception space to the couple. At that time everything comes together all the meetings and decision making all come down to that very moment. Nothing compares to an elated couple when they walk into their dream wedding.
What is your favorite thing about weddings?
I love everything about weddings… even the stressful part. If I had to pick I’d say designing!
Who are some of your favorite vendors you’ve worked with?
I’ve had the pleasure of working and creating relationships with some amazing industry vendors. Some of my favorites are Makini Regal Designs (Floral Designer), LBV Designs (Event Decor), Royale Amethyst Invitations, Amy Anaiz Photography, Mae B Films, The Finishing Touch (Luxury Linens) and Joshua Dwain Photography
What advice can you give to couples looking for the perfect Wedding Planner?
Just like finding your other wedding vendors, do that same research when finding your wedding planner. Your wedding day is one the most important days of your lives. It is most imperative that you find a planner that best suites your personalities and styles. Before you begin your search know that not all wedding planners are not created equal. On paper, their services may all look similar, but every planners services are different because the planners themselves are different. . You should be prepared to talk about yourself, wedding date, budget, ideas and also listen to what they have to say as far as their ideas, services, and pricing. You should click with your planner because you will be spending a lot of time with them. You should feel like the planner understood you as a bride, as a person, as a couple, and your wedding vision. Your wedding planner should plan with you not for you.
Any advice for brides to be on the planning/design process?
Planning:
Remember your fiancé!! A lot of times brides get so engulfed in wedding planning that they forget the bigger picture (Spending the rest of you life with your mate). Even though most men don’t want to be involved in the process try and include them. Maybe bring them to the cake and caterers tasting, men love food. Don’t talk wedding all the time; when your with him focus on your relationship. Trust me he’ll love you for it.
Design:
Don’t get caught up with having a theme. You don’t need a theme to have a beautiful wedding. If you have a concept, and a color scheme you have a wedding. Figure out your style, and what excites you, once you have those details down use that as your guideline.
