So we’ve been holding on to this one for a while and are super excited to finally share it with you. Aisha and Deji’s Atlanta wedding captured by Inije Photography, took only three months to put together. Yes, you read it right- 3 months! The bride, her mother and the folks at Bosarg Events took on the challenge of planning a glamorous affair in a fraction of the typical time. Everything came out beautifully- from the bride’s gorgeous dress to the breathtaking ceremony/reception decor. It’s a complete dream. Swoon away!
From the Bride:
The wedding date was set about 3 months before the event. At this time we frantically searched for venues that would cater to our large family and friends that would stay within our budget and allow us to create a wedding that we would look back at and be pleased with. I was so nervous our short timeline would mess things up but everything went smoothly thanks to my awesome support system. I really don’t remember many moments from the day, however, I remember tearing up when my dad came to walk me. I also teared up earlier when my mum came in to watch my makeup session.
In 3 months, my husband and I visited florists, caterers, bakers, decorators and had numerous fittings. All this happened while I worked in a different city. Many times, I felt that all the plans were not coming together and that it would result in a disaster. It took many calm talks with my husband, mum and sister to realize that it would all work out well. My mum was super woman through it all! She designed and made the invitations from Lagos, Nigeria. She picked out the table linen and had them transported from Nigeria to the US. She found the Decorator who did an amazing job with the stage and table floral arrangement. She was amazing!
The Reception
One of my favorite moments was dancing with my dad; he had a super funny dance that was spontaneous. It made me feel child-like again and I had to play along. I loved dancing in with my husband because it was pure fun! We also had fun dancing to the soul-train and the wobble in our traditional attire. Definitely, not planned but another spontaneous moment at the wedding. Our families and friends, young and old enjoyed doing the soul-train and it was fun to see the older ones take it all the way back with their moves. My final memorable moment was escaping for some intimate photo sessions with my husband in our traditional attire at the end of the day.
