Our theme for this styled South Asian shoot was centered around the colors purple, red and magenta. These colors are widely used in South Asian weddings and we wanted to showcase those colors in an outdoor setting. Sunken Gardens provides many ideal spots for wedding photography and we wanted to emphasize the advantages and beauty of an outdoor location for South Asian weddings. The poses for the couple while inspiring and non-traditional for South Asian culture were still within the boundaries of what’s considered appropriate. We want this shoot to inspire South Asian Brides to explore a less formal approach to wedding photography and wedding planning while respecting their traditions.
