Inspiration for the day: Since my husband is a fireman I wanted to be able to have fireman items incorporated into the wedding. Other then that, it was all Pinterest. That gave me ideas from bridesmaids gifts, to what I wanted my cake to look like and what type of flowers I liked.
The first thing I did was sit down and make a list of the vendors I thought I would need. Flowers, cake, photographer etc. Since I was planning a wedding cross country, I did not have anyone to go to for recommendations. I started on the typical wedding websites and began looking for vendors. From there I began researching more wedding forums because I noticed that I could get honest reviews about vendors plus I could get recommendations about vendors who might not advertise on wedding sites. I felt that talking to other brides who have gone through everything I am going through helped me from making mistakes and took some of the stress away.
Advice for Brides: Planning a wedding can be stressful and there will be hiccups along the way but every once in a while you should step back and remember the bigger picture. You are marrying the man of your dreams and that special day is only about you and him. If anything goes wrong on your wedding day, remember no one will know and a month from the wedding, you will be laughing about the craziness.
