Our theme for the day was rustic and chic. The colors were ivory, blush, lace and burlap. We wanted a little bit of romance, but clean and casual with a flare of country, thus the burlap. We decided on the Gallery as our venue because it was unique with its lay out and romantic feel. Being able to have both the ceremony and reception at the Gallery was very convenient. The area could fit 220 people comfortably and close. I liked how everyone was close together and not spread out.
There were so many special projects for our day as a lot of the details were DIY and handmade. From our DIY thumb print tree guestbook to the table runners, non-floral centerpieces and fabric/burlap roses handmade by our parents, the wedding really was a labor of love.
Favorite Memory of the Day: There are so many… but one of my favorites is being announced as husband and wife, turning around and seeing everyone close to us so happy.
Enjoy EVERY second! It goes by so fast. Take time to enjoy all of the hard work you put into this special day. Try to have someone set aside to help with the organization of the actual wedding day. Things will come up, time will disappear, and you(the bride) and family do not want to be stressed with small things. Spend money on the things that matter to you- the bride and groom, not what you think the guests want. Lastly, Photo Booth is a GREAT idea!!!
