Snow is falling, trees are up and there’s a little bit of extra magic in the air. It’s the holiday season, but it’s also the most romantic time of the year for another reason: it’s engagement season! This is the time of year that you’ll see the most “Engaged” status updates on FB and ring shots on insta. Love is in the air! If you’re newly engaged this holiday season, congratulations and cheers! (and send us a pic of your bling on our account dedicated to all things rings @apbling)
One of the first steps after getting engaged (after celebrating and taking lots of shameless ring pics of course) is to pick your venue and date. Places book up quickly, and if you’re Type A like us you’ve probably had a certain season & place in mind for your wedding for years. Save the Dates are one of our favorite pieces of the wedding planning process, because they set the tone for your wedding vibe. Whether you’re going full glam, boho greenery or good old blush & gold, your Save the Date is the first introduction your guests have to your wedding aesthetic.
Our friends at Minted are an amazing resource for designing and printing your save the dates. They have a wide range of unique styles and designs that allow you to truly let your personality shine through. Thinking ahead, it’s a great idea to style your engagement shoot around your save the date theme and vice versa. For example, in these gorgeous shots the couple wanted something modern and glamorous – what better setting than the streets and rooftops of Chicago? (I know, Chicago biased forever!) Dolled up in a sleek sophisticated black dress and suit, this couple is set for a night on the town. Lakeshore in Love for Aisle Society paired these chic images with modern styled save the dates from Minted, with plenty of metallic foils to up the glam factor. Tres chic!
Fun fact: I used Minted for our whole wedding stationary suite. They even printed really beautiful addresses in cursive, saving SO MUCH TIME and effort and sparing my guests from my god awful handwriting. Can’t recommend them enough! Also love their customer service. They are fully customizable until it is perfect and they use super luxe paper, which we love. Happy engagement and save the date season babes!
