Hello again friends! thanks so much for the kind words and comments on yesterday’s Getting Ready post (click here). For the wedding ceremony, we went with a traditional service at The Cathedral Church of Saint Luke in Downtown Orlando. We infused a few cultural additions into it including a traditional Nigerian Thanksgiving after we said I do- The Reverend was floored haha!
Picking a church is much more than a cute venue. You should make sure you discuss all the rules before signing off. For instance, some churches do not permit photography during the service, others limit the areas where the ceremony can be recorded from (ours restricted Collins to the back of the church), so you need to make sure you’re comfortable with all the rules before proceeding.
We decided to keep our wedding paper (with the exception of our save the dates click here) clean and neutral since our wedding didn’t have a theme per se. Our invitations were semi-diy with the actual design done by Shine Wedding Invitations and the mounting done by me.
How sharp does my brother look in his Traditional Nigerian Wear? He made the best escort down the aisle.
