NYC Themed Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party

One thing we know for sure is that nothing beats a perfectly executed theme, especially when it’s one as special as this one. This epic Sweet Sixteen birthday party for twin 16 year-olds was filled with fun, colorful details that represent our favorite city – New York City! Yup today’s real party feature is NYC themed! From the dope skyline backdrop to the adorable subway table signs, words cannot accurately describe how cute this party was. So, we’ll let designer and planner, Abby of Pretty Posh Events do the sharing.

For this very chic and detailed party, we wanted to bring New York City to New Jersey in every way we could think of. Our clients, twins Kayla & Anaya and their mom Shayla, wanted their guests to be blown away with all the amazing details for their sweet 16 celebration. Fun, colorful and detailed is what they requested and that is exactly what we produced for them.

Right from the entrance, guests were greeted with a subway inspired party signage directing them into the party room. We had mini lounge areas set up with NYC cityscape backdrops and pillows with NYC themed elements. The guest tables had a combination of beautiful flowers in vases and pedestals that had all kinds of NYC elements on there – skylines, NY boroughs, the Brooklyn bridge amongst others. One of my personal favorite items on the guest tables were the subway inspired menus at each place settings along with an apple place card holder, to bring in that Big Apple Element. Their cake area with a beautiful skyline backdrop and gorgeous balloon décor along with the prettiest desserts, was a hit amongst the guests. It served as a focal point and a beautiful backdrop for pictures.

Another amazing focal point in the room was the dancefloor.   We worked with Bushel and Peck Paper and Go To Shout to create a  graphic New York Inspired dancefloor that incorporated all the details we had through out the entire room; subway elements, taxicabs, graffiti inspired writings amongst others.  All the guests were asked to wear white to stand out against all the colorful details in the room. Our clients and their guest had such a great time dancing the night away amidst all the gorgeous details that truly spoke to New York!
