Today’s real wedding is one for the books (yeah, I know i’m being a tad dramatic). Vicky and Sam tied the knot in what can only be described as a truly Aisle Perfect wedding. Bride Vicky is the creative behind Dollhouse Events (a wedding planing company) and her handsome groom is one-half of East & Lester (a bespoke tailoring company). The combination of these two brilliant minds brought a timeless vintage-inspired affair filled with heartfelt details and lots of style. All the pretty was captured by the super talented Segun Olotu of Sottu Photography so prepare to swoon!
From the Bride:
I have always been obsessed with all things vintage so I figured the best time to explore that theme was for our wedding! We started off deciding that we wanted a summer wedding, which of course is the perfect season for pastel colours to accompany our theme. I am a huge fan of simple and timeless elegance, so when sourcing a venue we knew we wanted a manor house/stately home which was also big enough to accommodate a large number of guests! I had previously looked at Fennes for one of my clients, so it was already on my shortlist. It was the first venue I viewed with my partner and as soon as we walked in, we were sure it was what we were looking for! it had a large adjacent marquee to accommodate our 500 guests, stunning grounds and a number of rooms in the manor house which made for great pictures! It was actually the only venue we ended up viewing- since it fulfilled all of our requirements and was available on our preferred date, we went ahead and booked it!

Special Projects/DIY: As a wedding planner by profession, I would say the entire wedding styling and planning in itself was DIY! My husband also owns a bespoke tailoring and footwear company, so the he and his groomsmen wore suits from his label. There is always the added pressure when you are in the trade to ensure that your wedding is meticulously planned and I am glad we were able to do just that and have the wedding of our dreams!
Favorite Memories: My most favourite memory was my husband’s speech- It was everything! I still watch it over and over again! The wedding party was also a lot of fun and we ended up having a dance off between the ladies and gents- unfortunately the guys won but the ladies did their best too!
Advice to brides on the planning process: It is probably said a million times but even if some things do not go according to plan, you just have to ignore it and enjoy your day. Everything happens quite quickly and it is a once in a lifetime experience (hopefully), so just enjoy every single minute. As far as wedding planning goes, try to involve the groom in most of the decision making as it not only means that you don’t neglect each other during a very busy and challenging time, but it also lays a good foundation for your marriage which is most important!
