Greece Meets Honduras: Nicole & Kostas

Nicole and Kostas first met in culinary school in Manhattan. A group of classmates had set out to grab lunch together. But, as everyone began to leave, Nicole and Kostas found themselves enthralled in conversation. They set up a date for that same week. For their engagement, Kostas took Nicole to Long Island. The plan was to spend an August weekend together relaxing poolside. One day they enjoyed brunch followed by a stroll to the boardwalk. Kostas proposed along the shore, and the couple returned to his parent’s home to celebrate with champagne.

This couple’s opulent estate wedding reflected a deeply romantic mood for their fusion of Greek and Honduran roots. Inspired by the venue’s elegance and 1920’s charm, Nicole and Kostas focused on timeless details with added drama. The Shadowbrook Estate on the Jersey Shore made way for vintage-inspired details, with glittering decor, and pink and cream florals. The wedding ceremony took place in a vibrant Greek Orthodox church, detailed in florals and colorful paintings. Nicole’s bouquet of white orchids and blush roses was one of her favorite moments of their day. She wore an exquisite mermaid wedding dress detailed in lace, beading, and a stunning sheer back design with organic lace applique. She also wore glittering accessories, pairing a sparkling headpiece and matching earrings with her finger-wave hairstyle. Blending Greek and Honduran cultures, the couple incorporated traditional dances into their reception. The space boasted extravagant marble and gold detailing throughout the ballroom, where Nicole and Kostas shared their first dance beneath an unbelievably lavish chandelier.
